First Loligo Season 2024 We are more than half way through the first loligo fishing season 2024 which will conclude towards the end of this month.
Lighthouse Restoration We are pleased to see works starting to restore the Cape Pembroke Lighthouse. We are working with the Historic Dockyard Museum & National Trust, Consolidated Fisheries Limited and The Falkland Islands Government to facilitate the renovate of the Lighthouse which was closed in the 1980s. Hadassa Bay We proudly launched the F/V Hadassa Bay in Vigo, Spain on 25th March 2024. She will operate under the ownership of South Atlantic Squid Ltd. She replaces the F/V Baffin Bay which sank in December 2020. The Hadassa Bay will now be fitted at the Armon Shipyard with final delivery at the end of 2024. After sea trials should be ready to join the Falkland Islands fleet for the first season 2025.
ITQ-B Beauchene Fishing, along with their local industry counterparts, have committed to the new ITQ-B system of licensing awarded by the Falkland Islands Government which secures our fishing effort for the next twenty-five years.
